Today is a special day to remember contribution from all rtCampers and thank all our well-wishers, clients and partners out there.

The best is yet to be…

We achieved many things last year including rtPanel, an open-source WordPress theme framework, which is growing rapidly.

As we are entering into 4th year, it feels good to be part of a team of extraordinary rtCampers whose passion will help us achieve new feats (like preceding year before!)

Rather than speaking about our plans for year ahead, I would like to get back to work so we can ship something for real!

rtParty 2012

Rather than having an average celebration on a working day, we choose a secluded beach - Karde,  near Dapoli in Ratnagiri District in Maharashtra for a weekend party. The best thing about that place was – no cellphone or internet access – which left rtCampers with no other option but to enjoy rtParty 2012.

If entire rtCamp’s unavailability had caused any inconvenience to you, as leader of these supercharged knights, I apologies to you for this “downtime”.

Happy Birthday to rtCamp! (3rd Anniversary) is a post from rtCamp

They are located in nearby buildings separated by small distance. But this small distance between the two buildings covers victorious and memorable journey for more than 35 rtCampers! It is reminder of their hard-work and dedication with which they served our clients & WordPress community. Without a doubt, we will continue down this path in future…

With second office, rtFamily will soon cross a headcount of 50 members.

In the future, we will add third, fourth and more offices to rtCampus. But nothing can beat the joy of reaching this milestone of ‘second’ office. This ‘second’ number is special. The journey from ‘one’ to ‘two’ has been a long one (almost 2 years) with many ups and downs, but I guess that is what makes this ‘second office’ special!

rtCamp’s Second Office is a post from rtCamp

Today, we are going public about rtCamp’s most ambitious project ‘rtPanel – The WordPress Theme Framework’. The theme originally made for rtCampers was known as ‘rtBase’ internally and it is running more than 300 clients’ websites in its 1 year life time.

Credit for this big milestone goes to Joshua Abenazer, Rakshit Thakker, Gajanan Sapate & all rtCampers.

More information will be released as soon as WordPress Theme Review Team (WTRT) approves rtPanel for official wordpress.org theme repository. As there is a long-standing queue of themes to be reviewed by WTRT, it may take little more time to make rtPanel available to you.

Nginx is a webserver we have been using to run our own high-traffic blog-network since November 2010. We are really surprised by its performance, uptime we have received and overall improvement in our sites’ speed.

Stumbled by Nginx’s performance gains and economics (yep, its very economical), we felt urge to help fellow-bloggers run their high-traffic sites on Nginx. One after other, we moved 5 sites to Nginx in last 6 months for friends & clients. They all saw huge gain in their performance as you can see from testimonials.

This is a reason we feel that more bloggers should switch to the Nginx rather than upgrading their VPS plans every month. Since Google’s official announcement saying site-speed will be considered during search-engine ranking, having a slow or frequently down site has now more reasons to worry for.

I instantly checked our homepage, and it ranked extremely well. Usually, a layman consider our homepage “heavy” as it looks like “flash” (in their words)

Anyways, out of curiosity, I compared our homepage with one of most lightweight page on Internet – Google.com! I found we were very close in both – Yahoo’s YSlow as well as Google’s Page Speed metrics.

After less than an hour’s hard work and some more tweaking – we finally managed to beat Google in both – YSlow as well as Page Speed grades. Yeppy!
