Minimum Requirements:
- You must know WordPress well enough. Enough means you should know WordPress beyond installation.
- You must have experience of modifying existing WordPress themes/plugins at source-code level.
- You must know what is the difference between actions and filters!
- Decent knowledge of core PHP, familiarity with CSS and jQuery is expected.
Your chances are high…
- If you have developed any WordPress themes or plugin from scratch.
- If you have developed something on BuddyPress.
- If you run a blog of any size using any platform.
- If you are active in community in any form. Be it #wordpress IRC channel, WordPress Codex, WordPress forum or any other place where they are talking about WordPress!
All above are common traits of WordPress Geeks! You no need to possess all of them!
What you will be doing at rtCamp:
- Your main responsibility will be to create themes and/or plugins for WordPress/BuddyPress/bbPress.
- You will be always encouraged to go after quality work. Its not quantity but quality of work/codes, that will define your growth at rtCamp.
- At rtCamp, you are free to start your day from Google reader, facebook, twitter. We are all social animals here.
- You are encouraged to post about your work and discoveries online in companies paid time.
- Occasionally, you are welcome to put some of your work in open-source. Of course, with your name and credits.
