We have released a new version of our Blogger To WordPress plugin.

Many bloggers who migrated from blogger.com to self hosted WordPress, were facing issues while redirecting via the mobile template. The URL ends with ?m=1 (for instance, http://example.blogspot.com/test-post.html?m=1).

This issue has been fixed with the new release. You just have to take the following steps on blogger.com:

  • Copy the code generated by plugin and paste it into your blogger.com template, as usual.
  • Disable mobile template.

  1. It looks like the redirect worked for mobile and non-mobile for a bit, but now no longer works for either.

  2. @Nyssa
Make sure you have copy-paste the code generated by plugin again in your blogger template.
It should work, we have tested it on number of blogs.

  3. I seem to have found the problem: After I post the new code in the Text/HTML widget on Blogger (the same one I use for the old code), Blogger strips out many of the lines from the front. How do you post code on here? I’d like to show how it gets changed.

    1. I did some more looking; apparently the “stripped” lines were actually already part of the template, so they didn’t show up in the HTML/Text widget. I reverted to the classic template and edited the HTML directly, to see if that would make a difference. But it didn’t; it would redirect only to my homepage. Since the old code works fine except for mobile links, and all I did was change the code, I don’t know why I’m having trouble with the new code….

  4. I tried that…It just isn’t working. Now the old code isn’t working, either. It just keeps going to the homepage.

    1. Okay, now I’ve got the old code working again. But the new code doesn’t work no matter what I do.

But I do remember the new code working for maybe an hour right after I first installed it. So I tried re-installing the plugin, but that didn’t work, either.

      1. Hello Nyssa,
I am not sure what exact problem you are facing.
It will be great if you send me WordPress and blogger admin detail in my mail box (nitun.lanjewar@rtcamp.com). I’ll check that.
        Thanks.

  5. Everything is still working beautifully, for me and for my many visitors from Blogspot. Thank you for the fix!

  6. Ever since this plugin was fixed back in May, it has worked perfectly. And also, shortly after, I began getting almost all my hits directly through searches rather than through redirects from Blogger. My hits have also gone up as well (not sure if that’s related, but it might be).

  7. hi! 2019 here 🙂 and still getting the same errors as others unfortunately. every old article keeps on redirecting to the home page. any ideas on how to fix it?

    1. Hi, it could be an issue because of WordPress default importer is not correctly importing the content from blogger.com to WordPress. Please check if you are getting the correct values in custom fields of each post for “blogger_post”
