Experiential learning using WordPress Playground
To make learning more hands-on, our courses are now leveraging interactive WordPress Playground. Inspired by platforms like learn.wordpress.org, this tool gives you, as learners, a space to practice and experiment within the courses to understand concepts better.
With this addition, our courses are now structured as the following:
- Easy-to-follow reading materials
- Clear videos and audio lessons
- Interactive assignments and quizzes
- Addition of practical exercises with the WordPress Playground to reinforce learning by doing
We’re grateful to the WordPress community for creating Playground. It’s a great tool that lets learners experiment in a safe space, making learning more effective and fun.
What Is WordPress Playground?
WordPress Playground is a tool that lets you work on a WordPress site directly in your browser. You don’t need to set up anything on your computer—no servers, no installations, nothing. It’s powered by WebAssembly, which means one can try out code, play with themes, and even create plugins right from your browser window.
How does it improve your learning journey?
This hands-on experience makes learning interactive and enjoyable, with real-time feedback. As learners, you can see your code work. You can focus on mastering concepts in depth without wasting time on the technical challenges of setting up systems, allowing you to dive straight into learning and practicing.
Our balanced approach with a mix of theory, practical experience, and self-paced learning ensures that you gain the confidence and skills to succeed – whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve.
We hope this will make learning WordPress more accessible, and encourage you to try new things without the fear of breaking a live site.
