WordPress 6.7 features and updates
WordPress 6.7, the last major release of 2024, features a new theme: Twenty Twenty-Five theme. Twenty Twenty-Five builds upon the concepts of simplicity and ships with several pre-built block patterns, styles options, and color palettes. Another major upgrade is the Zoom Out feature for creating pages, allowing users to see the bigger picture to add, shuffle, remove or edit the patterns making a page. This release also introduces a host of design controls for various blocks.
This version improves media handling too, allowing for auto-sizing images, HEIC image conversions to JPEG files, support for block-level background images in global styles, and more. The Query Loop block is refined for better content filtering and sorting. WordPress 6.7 also adds the Preview Options API, Data Views API, Interactivity API updates, and the Template Registration API. For a complete list of all updates, including performance improvements and bug fixes, refer to the official WordPress 6.7 documentation and the field guide.
