The Drupal vs WordPress for enterprise question has a clear directional answer. WordPress, with the right architecture, operates at mission-critical scale.

NASA: The definitive stress test

The implementation required multiple architectural iterations: an initial Aegir-based setup was abandoned because full release cycles took three days. The replacement still required 2–3 hours for parallelized database updates.

WordPress VIP handles the complexity

Capgemini moved from Drupal to WordPress VIP: 20,000+ pages in 10+ languages across 38 sites. Travelopia (26 brands) left Drupal because developer dependency had bottlenecked 100+ marketers.
