WordPress is now a teenager!

Published on May 27, 2016

Thirteen years ago in 2003, the first ever version of WordPress appeared, thanks to collaborative efforts of Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little. It was forked from b2/cafelog.

Over the past 13 years from being regarded as mainly just a blogging software, it now powers over 26% of the web.

Today, our favourite CMS, turns a teenager and we celebrated it’s birthday with a special cake. The cake cutting honours went to Vaishali, Divyaraj and Dhaval, the youngest rtCampers around.

Fun Fact: Vaishali and Dhaval were of age 10 and Divyaraj was only 8 years old when WordPress was first released!
