Monthly Roundup – March 2025

This March, rtCamp turned 16. Our CEO, Rahul, reflected on our journey and outlined the road ahead for our open-source practice with WordPress, Frappe and product initiatives like GoDAM and SnapWP. 

Our CBO Vivek and Director of Marketing Aviral represented us at multiple conferences, including the Forrester B2B conference and met our client partners across the US. 

As represented in our work with Cox, we have formalized OnePress as a solution — a unified WordPress framework for multi-brand enterprises. It centralizes governance for features, plugins, design, and management across all brand websites, while retaining brand autonomy, slashing TCO by up to 60%. OnePress as a framework helps integrate new brands faster and cheaper.

Enterprises are hitting walls with monolithic DXPs, and the market is quickly moving towards composable. • rtCampers Aditya Dhade and Shyamsundar Gadde have been voted to be WordPress Core Performance Team Reps for 2025.
• Matthias Pfefferle and Alex Kirk discussed decentralizing social networks using WordPress on Open Web Conversations — episode 616. Alex highlighted how it helps in connecting users without a central authority.
• Felix Arntz shares about Interactivity API updates in WordPress 6.8, including improvement in async directives and a shift toward asynchronous store actions for better performance.
• WordPress VIP now allows unrestricted media file imports via VIP-CLI. This change eliminates previous file type limits. No VIP-CLI updates are needed to benefit from this change.

• Django co-creator Simon Willison shared techniques for using LLMs to write code effectively in an in-depth blog post. He also explained “vibe coding”, encouraging learning through experimentation. 
• OpenAI launched tools like Responses API and Agents SDK to simplify AI agent development. These would enable creation of autonomous systems for tasks like web searches.
• Advancing virtual content creation, Stability AI introduced its Stable Virtual Camera. It enables 3D video generation from 2D images, available under a Non-Commercial License. 

Upcoming events

• WordCamp Europe 2025 attendees needing a visa should check Swiss requirements. Invitation letters are available after ticket purchase until May 10, 2025, for the event to be held during June 5-7, in Basel.
• WordCamp US 2025 has invited applications for organizers, to be submitted by April 25 for the event to be held during August 26–29, 2025 in Portland, Oregon.
