Monthly Roundup – November 2024
Continuing with the migration series, we released the Kentico to WordPress Migration Handbook this November. This guide simplifies the complexities of transitioning to WordPress, helping enterprises unlock scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
Our July 2024 cohort concluded their training successfully. Out of thousands of applicants, we trained 20 engineers through exercises, code reviews, core contributions and 1900 hours of mentorship. The cohort is now ready to take on enterprise WordPress projects. In a related update, we integrated WordPress Playground in our courses on rtLearn.
The month was big on contributions in more ways than one.
Props to three rtCampers—Utsav, David and Indira, who recently graduated from the Q4 2024 cohort of the WordPress Contributor Mentorship Program as All Star Mentees. Designed to empower new contributors on their WordPress journey, this six-week program is ultimately enhancing the overall health and growth of the WordPress ecosystem.
Our quality engineering teams have been contributing comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test cases for WordPress Core, apart from their solid work on various client projects. These automated tests (1, 2) are designed to enhance platform stability, providing faster and more reliable feedback during updates.
WordPress 6.7 “Rollins” was released. This is the 32nd consecutive release, featuring contributions from 37 rtCampers.
For the broader open-source ecosystem, we released Frappe Private Comment app to enhance the Frappe commenting system. It introduces customizable comment visibility, enabling better collaboration while protecting sensitive information.
