Hello, amigos! Greetings of the festive season ✨

With releases across three of open source projects, three client sites launch, three WordCamps – November was quite an eventful! ?

Let me briefly take you through them!

Project Releasee

EE v4 Stable Release ⚙️

The most awaited EaseEngine release – version4 – was finally rolled out this month. This was a big release with plenty of major changes, most notable are Docker-based architecture and Mac support. Please go through this detailed article to learn more about this release.

Within a week we did a few minor releases with a notable enhancement to create WordPress.com VIP Go sites locally.

We’ve received quite a few positive reviews for the new release, for which, we are thankful to our community. ??

Gutenberg Fields Middleware (GFM) ?

Our Gutenberg Fields Middleware project is updated to work with latest WordPress 5.0 RC release. If you haven’t heard about it, GFM makes it easy to create Gutenberg by reducing repetitive code. Think what jQuery does to JavaScript, with humbleness! ?

The super awesome thing about this release is that a GFM user – Ajit Bohara – has contributed to updating GFM along with Yahil! ?

rtMedia Updates ⏫

With this new version of this plugin, we have worked on the functionality fixes and made them more robust. This includes making the necessary validations under the Gallery widget to make it more meaningful, improving the UI/UX for it, and fixing minor bugs & issues. The detailed article, with the full change-log, is available.

Client Site Launches

Penske Media Corporation (PMC)

Our team was a part of the theme development project for PMC’s sheknows.com and soaps.com sites. Here, we helped their team to relaunch the site with a refreshed look and feel, while also being a part of their migration to the WordPress.com VIP platform.

IndianExpress

We also helped our another client Indian Express relaunch their flagship website indianexpress.com with a new brand identity and user experience.

Notably, IndianExpress is among top news site in India. Read our launch post here.

WordCamps

WCUS 2018 ??

WordCamp US is just about here and we are buzzing as the dates draw closer! This is going to be a three-day event, in Nashville, from the 7th to the 9th of December. Not only are we excited about attending this event, but, we are also looking forward to meet awesome folks from the community in NYC.

From our team, Rahul Bansal and Vivek Jain will be in NYC from Dec 2-5 and in Nashville from Dec 5-10. If you are around let’s catch up! ?

WC Kochi Review ?

Nirmal Desai attended WordCamp Kochi, on our behalf, and was impressed by the efforts of the organizers to make this an eco-friendly event. He noticed that there were many college students working with PWA + WordPress, which is very encouraging. Interestingly, he has now turned into a fan of South Indian delicacies, after dining at the very famous ‘Pai Dosa’ food outlet, at Kochi.??

WordCamp Ahmedabad ?

A group of 12 people went to Gujarat, to be a part of WordCamp Ahmedabad 2018. They represented us as proud sponsors and volunteers.

We will share our WordCamp US and WordCamp Ahmedabad experience in next roundup. Hopefully with more exciting EasyEngine features and a few more client launches! ?
