Celebrating rtCamp’s 8th birthday

We celebrated rtCamp turning a year older this weekend. The 12th of March marked our 8th anniversary, and we brought it in true Bollywood fashion- with music and dance!

This year’s rtParty was a bit different because it was celebrated on two halves. Unlike previous rtParties, where we traveled outside of town for a weekend or so, a lot of rtCampers voted against too much travelling because of the near-summer temperatures.

Instead, we decided to start the celebrations with a day out at Adlabs Imagica, a popular theme park in town.

The day at Imagica ended so quickly- time flies when you are having fun- which left us with no time for appreciations, our annual award ceremony or any traditional “partying”. All of these needed to wait for the second half of the rtParty- the part that happened this weekend 🎉

rtParty: Part 2

This weekend’s celebration was hosted at a more formal banquet hall-type setting.

We were even invited to “dress up” for a change (rtCamp has a “no dress code” policy). A few of us arrived in blazers and ties and dress shoes, but these were gradually abandoned as the evening went on 😄

The evening began with Rahul’s address and moved on to the award ceremony. Then, it was time for some serious nostalgia. Some of the footage in this video stretches back to 2009!

Next, we cut some cake, popped some champagne, released some balloons and proceeded to the dance floor. As you might have noticed after watching the video, no rtParty is complete without some Bollywood-inspired dancing.

We are firm believers that, given enough motivation, anybody can dance. It was great to see nearly every rtCamper visit the dancefloor and show off their unique style 🙂

Thank You

rtCamp would never grow to be eight years old without your support and love. Thank you for being with us! 🙇

This was our most important year as a company, as we became a WordPress.com VIP Service Partner. We would like to thank Automattic for their faith in us. 🙏

Back to doing what we love

The rtParty is over, but that doesn’t mean it gets boring. We are pumped up and looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

The rtFamily has grown since the last year, and we are hoping to continue that trend. If you would like to be part of the next rtParty, RSVP at our careers page 😉
