WordPress 4.8 “Evans” released today. This release is a perfect follow-up for the last release (which had a “Your site Your way” theme) because it focuses on giving new website owners all the tools they need to make an informative and accessible site. The release was made possible through the efforts of 346 core contributors
HeroPress and WPShout have recently partnered to offer 10 full scholarships to the later’s Up and Running WordPress training course. The course was created last year by current WPShout authors Fred Meyer & David Hayes and founder of WPShout, Alex Denning. With over two decades of WordPress expertise between them, their program will be full of useful and relevant content. Up
About 25 rtCampers will be attending WordCamp Mumbai in 3 days’ time. The organizers of the largest (objectively) WordCamp in India are expecting about 600 WordPressers, including speakers and volunteers. With a great line-up of speakers and the massive attendee list, we are looking forward to polishing up our skills and meeting other WP enthusiasts ?
The third edition of WordCamp Bangkok is on the same weekend as WCKochi, which we recently posted about. We are sponsors of both events, but cannot attend either in full strength because of the logistics involved. Sessions at WCBangkok will be in both English and Thai. The southern states of India are known for their unique cuisine & culture, relative to the rest of the country. “South India” is a blanket term for about 5 states- Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The coastal city of Kochi (or Cochin), is where the next Indian WordCamp is about to kick off.
WordCamp Pune 2017 is in three days’ time! Being in our home city, this WordCamp is a bit special for us. WordPress Version 4.6, named “Pepper”, was released today, with a focus on improving the user-experience. The new version is named “Pepper” in honor of jazz baritone saxophonist Park Frederick “Pepper” Adams III.
